A series of workshops and seminars have been designed to bring together humanitarian practitioners and academics working in the area of disaster law and humanitarian action.
Disaster Displacement seminar: Dublin, 23rd February 2018
Every year, millions of people are displaced by climate-related disasters, and this is likely to increase as climate change accelerates. Bringing together humanitarian practitioners and academics, the Irish Red Cross Society and the CCJHR hosted a seminar on “Climate Change, Displacement and the Law” on 23rd February 2018 in Dublin. Keynote speakers included representatives from Trócaire, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC – Geneva) and the International Organization for Migration (the UN Migration Agency).
