A series of workshops and seminars have been designed to bring together humanitarian practitioners and academics working in the area of disaster law and humanitarian action.
Disaster Displacement seminar: Dublin, 23rd February 2018
Every year, millions of people are displaced by climate-related disasters, and this is likely to increase as climate change accelerates. Bringing together humanitarian practitioners and academics, the Irish Red Cross Society and the CCJHR hosted a seminar on “Climate Change, Displacement and the Law” on 23rd February 2018 in Dublin. Keynote speakers included representatives from TrĂ³caire, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC – Geneva) and the International Organization for Migration (the UN Migration Agency).
